Purpose Worldwide, a strategic brand, marketing and communications firm that drives awareness and growth for purpose-driven organizations, today announced it has expanded its leadership team to bolster the strategic value it provides to clients and drive its next phase of growth. Purpose’s client portfolio spans F500 leaders, AI and commercial technology companies operating in both private and public markets, and NGOs and global trade organizations driving positive change. Appointees include veteran public relations executive Hollis Guerra as President, Louis Jones as Chair of the advisory board, and Jeff Hirsch and Molly Wood as advisory board members.
“Today’s appointments reflect our commitment to excellence,” said Purpose co-founder and CEO Lana McGilvray. “Hollis’ role as our first-ever President is a case in point. She is a true leader at every level and a valued expert who market leaders count on to ensure they win. The same can be said for Louis, Jeff and Molly. They are high integrity, trusted leaders in their respective sectors and have already helped us accelerate our clients’ growth and deliver on our mission.”
As President, Guerra takes responsibility for the growth and success of Purpose’s national brand, AI and Commercial Technology client practices.
“I’m honored to step into the role of President at Purpose Worldwide. Lana, Cassady, the team, and our trusted board of advisors have built deep, wide-reaching relationships across the industry and driven a formidable record of client success. Purpose’s clients are its best proof points and champions. They are market leaders who rave about the team’s unrivaled domain knowledge and expertise, incredible network and gaining access to the journalists, people, organizations, and insights they need to navigate and stand out in an increasingly complex world,” said Guerra. “As I step back alongside this incredible team, we are going to take our clients even further, faster and blow out the creativity, strategy and execution they depend on us for to lead and grow!”
Guerra most recently served as Vice President for DBC Brand Communications, a New York City-based public relations firm that provides integrated marketing services to the advertising, marketing and insights industries. Earlier in her career, she led sales and client services for Blast Public Relations, one of the first firms to focus on the adtech and fintech sectors. Over the years, Guerra has served a number of well-known market leaders, including Adcolony (Opera Mediaworks), Amobee, AppsFlyer, Basis Technologies, Cadent, Horizon Media, ID5, Kantar, Lotame, Nielsen, LG Ads, OpenAP, PubMatic, Razorfish, Sabio, The Trade Desk, Vistar Media and industry organizations such as The ARF, The CMO Club and The IAB. She is also the co-founder of Advance Women, an organization advocating for women at every level and in every field.
“Hollis’ appointment is such a win for our clients and team,” said Purpose co-founder and Chief Client Officer Cassady Nordeen. “Hollis knows exactly what it takes to help clients break through, win and thrive. Most of all, she is a total team player and loves to win every race while celebrating everyone around her.”

L-R: Louis Jones, Molly Wood, Jeff Hirsch
As Chairman of the Board of Advisors, Jones will work closely with Purpose’s leadership team to ensure the company and its clients are responsibly growing the strong flow of business the new era is ushering in. Jones is currently a Senior Fellow with the Brand Safety Institute. He previously served as EVP, Media & Data at the 4A’s (American Association of Advertising Agencies) and held CEO and other leadership roles at agencies, including Maxus, Havas and J. Walter Thompson.
Hirsch will expand the work he already does to provide Purpose clients who want to unify sales and marketing to develop and execute on predictable and high-growth revenue teams and strategies. He has a long history with Purpose as both a client and an advisor and is well known for his legendary leadership at AudienceScience and Pubmatic.
Wood, well-known for her award-winning work as a journalist at CBS Interactive, New York Times, and as a co-host on Marketplace on NPR, joined a climate investment firm before founding Molly Wood Media (MWM). MWM first partnered with Purpose in early 2024, when a climate tech working group retained the firms to help it introduce the proven and significant value of investing in climate adaptation and resilience to 300 of the world’s top climate champions and investors. The success of that partnership is a model for what MWM and Purpose plan to do more of together moving forward.
In related news, Purpose recently promoted several of its top employees; Alexis Gold, Sydney Dennen, John Fallon and Sarah Geibel, and welcomed Bella Hoffeins to the team. Gold and Dennen have also expanded their regional leadership roles, with Gold now responsible for all West Coast business and operations and Dennen responsible for the East Coast.
